The Genesis
A passion and dream envisioned and established over two decades ago under the name of Hittakal, the teas produced by the three factories of the Group are a hallmark of consistent quality. The Hittakkal Group’s three production centers, the Hittakkal Estate Tea Factory, the Vigneshwar Estate Tea Factory, and the Hi-Cliff Tea Manufacturing Company Pvt. Ltd. are highly respected, world- class, state-of-the-art manufacturing units.
The Group has a daily production capacity of 10 tonnes of CTC grade teas and 2 tonnes of orthodox teas.
The distinguished agriculturist and renowned thinker, H. R. Muthaiah - better known as HRM, founded the business in 1984. The Group then registered phenomenal growth under the innovative, capable, and professional leadership of his son, M. Bhojarajan.
